About NESA

In New South Wales, NESA (the NSW Education Standards Authority) is reponsible for ensuring the Australian Curriculum is effectively implemented. 

NESA develops specific syllabuses for NSW schools and homeschoolers that align with the Australian Curriculum. NESA also sets and maintains the standards for students achievement through outcomes.

NESA also provides resources and support to teachers, schools and homeschoolers to ensure that students meet the expected learning outcomes within the NSW education system. 

Parents/Carers who live in NSW and are wanting to homeschool must register their child(ren) through NESA.
